i) Ronnie Coleman

  • Birth Date: 13 May 1994

  • Stage Weight: 287 – 300 pounds (130 – 136 kg)

Most connoisseurs consider Ronnie Coleman as the number one bodybuilder of all time. Ronnie Colman impressed the judges from his very first auditioning from 1990. By defeating all the favourites, he won his first Mr Olympia in 1998. That was the start.

He started to stun the judges and earn awards one after another. Later he ranked top consistently and won 7 more Mr Olympia till. He holds the record of most IFBB professionals and got IFBB pro card. In total, he earned 26 titles in his career.

He was not only one of the best bodybuilders but also one of the strongest. After doing an 800+ pound squat on stage, he said that he did not put his best.

In 1997, Dorian Yates retired, and his nearest competitor Paul Dillett collapsed on stage. At that time, Ronnie Colman came on the stage and entered his name in the list of Mr Olympia winners. He amazed the judges with both his size of muscles and their conditioning.

ii. Flex Wheeler

His real name is Kenneth Wheeler. He was born in California, America. In early life, he had poverty and suffered from dyslexia. But he excelled in sports and learned martial arts, which lead him later in bodybuilding. He could do complete splits. And thus he got the surname Flex.

He was a police officer before becoming a professional bodybuilder. He attended his first competition in 1983 but earned his first trophy in 1989 at the NPC Mr California Championships. Before debut in professional bodybuilders competitions, he ranked 8 times in different amateur competitions.

He started his professional career by winning 1st position at the Ironman Pro Invitational in 1993. This year, he also competed for Mr Olympia and won 2nd place. From 1995, he earned the Ironman Pro four times in a row. He got the Arnold Classic four times. He also won the South Beach Pro Invitational, France Grand Prix, Night of Champions, and Hungarian Grand Prix. He ranked Mr Olympia eight times.

Arnold Schwarzenegger said about him that Wheeler was the best bodybuilder he has ever seen. Ronnie Coleman also considered him as the best competitor.  This living legend announced his retirement in 2000 but he participated in a few competitions till 2003. The latest news is, he attended Mr Olympia again in 2017 and earned 15th place!

iii. Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger Austrian-American bodybuilder. In his early life, Arnold played different games. He started weight training in 1960. In 1961, he decided to be a professional bodybuilder than soccer. He started his competitive career in bodybuilding at the age of 14. Steve Reeves was his idol at teen years. In 1961, he started to be trained under Kurt Marnul.

In 1965, Arnold served the Austrian army. This year, he won the Junior Mr Europe contest. In 1966, he moved to Bennett’s family home and got trained there. Reg Park also mentored him there. And finally, Arnold Schwarzenegger won the title Mr Universe Amateur for the first time at the age of 20.

Later he won Mr Universe Pro three times. He earned his first Mr Olympia title in 1970 in New York. Later he won Mr Olympia six times more. He also won many powerlifting and weightlifting competitions as a player from Austria. He also pursued his career in business, acting and politics. He played roles in the Transformer movie series.

He owns many gyms and bodybuilding magazines. Nowadays,  Arnold Classic is the second most prestigious competition for bodybuilders. The competition is named after him.

iv. Dorian Yates

  • Height: 5′10/5″ (1.79 m)
  • Chest: 58″ (148 cm)
  • Stage Weight: 275 pounds (125 kg)

This English bodybuilder started his training since 1983. He pursued his bodybuilding career only for five years and retired in 1997. He suffered from muscle torn of biceps and triceps.

In his short career, he won each and every single contest he participated in. He got the nickname The Shadow. The reason behind this naming was, he appeared in the contests suddenly and took away the first place. He was one of the first heavyweight bodybuilders. He combined sharp shaping and conditioning with huge body mass. He won Mr Olympia from 1991 till 1997 seven times in a row and stunned the world.

Yates believed that short and intense workout is the perfect way for bodybuilding. And he went on a very much restricted diet. Rather he took steroids.

v. Lee Haney

  • Birth Date: 11 November 1959
  • Height: 5′11″ (180 cm)
  • Chest: 56″ (142 cm)
  • Stage Weight: 230 – 250 pounds (104 – 113 kg)

Lee Haney was born in Georgia, America. He ranked 3rd in Mr Olympia in 1983. Later he won eight consecutive Mr Olympia awards from 1984 to 1991.

Haney offered both size and conditioning. He always stunned the judges with his incredibly conditioned eight packs. He was talked to his competitors. He was incredible in size and definition.

He had his own TV show back then name TotaLee with Lee Haney. He also worked as the chairman of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
